Redness

In one person the blood vessels are more superficial in the skin than in another. That is why a person turns red faster after exertion or emotions. This redness will go away on its own. If the redness persists, these vessels are dilated and we call this rosacea. Often people experience this in themselves as disfiguring. You can also suffer from the heat that comes with it. Redness occurs as the skin ages, but can also be caused by rosacea. This redness is relatively easy to treat and you often see results after one treatment.

  • Couperose

Couperose is a condition in which the skin turns red and small blood vessels remain visible. This redness is caused by dilated blood vessels and is usually seen on the cheeks, nose, chin and décolleté. It occurs in both women and men and is often familial. Couperose is easy to treat with relatively little recovery time.

At Inskin Institute, we work with safe lasers that allow us to effectively treat this condition. Couperose can worsen the longer you wait. The vessels can dilate further and the redness increases.

  • Rosacea

Rosacea is similar to couperose, but there is inflammation in the skin. You may experience a burning sensation on the skin or itching. Both couperosis and rosacea manifest themselves in redness and visible blood vessels on the skin. With rosacea you also sometimes see pimples, pimples, swelling and - in a more serious stage - thickened skin. Rosacea cannot be cured, but we can help you reduce the symptoms. Come by, we'd love to give you advice on how to achieve smoother skin!

Treatments

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is the best and most effective way to reduce redness and rosacea. At Inskin Institute we work with the Lumecca of the InMode system. Due to the built-in cooling and correct light distribution, the Lumecca is suitable for most skin types. Each pulse emits a flash of light with a spectrum of wavelengths. The vessels absorb the energy of the flash of light, causing them to heat up and solidify.

The treatment gives a short heat sensation, but this disappears immediately afterwards. It can feel like a rubber band being snapped against your skin. An additional advantage of this treatment is that IPL also tightens the skin. The energy released stimulates collagen production in the skin. The laser contains a cooling system, which makes the treatment well tolerated.

At Inskin Instiute we work with the InMode system, this equipment is CE and FDA certified and therefore safe.

  • Mild exfoliation

When treating of rosacea we can also use a mild, medical peeling. At Inskin Institute we work with medical peels from the Dermaceutics brand. The peels are based on azelaic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid or trichloroacetic acid (TCA). There is a suitable peeling for every type of skin.

The active ingredients in the peels lead to a solution for symptoms of various skin problems, including rosacea. The peeling is always tailored to your skin type and individual needs.

  • Microneedling

With microneedling we can improve the condition of your skin. Microneedling increases the skin's resilience and makes the skin stronger and firmer. It is a scientifically recognized and safe technique. Superfine surgical steel needles make hundreds of micro-channels without damaging the skin. High-quality products with active ingredients can penetrate the skin up to 200 times more. With 4 to 6 treatments you can achieve an increase of 400 percent more collagen and elastin and a thickening of the skin of up to 140 percent! By making the skin stronger, the chance of burst blood vessels decreases, which means that this technique also helps in the fight against rosacea. The skin becomes more resilient and inflammation decreases.

  • Combination treatment

During the treatment process, we combine or alternate different techniques. The effect and results of all our treatment methods have been scientifically proven.

Home products

We work with the cosmeceuticals from Dermaceutic and/or Rhenophase. Cosmeceuticals contain active ingredients that have been scientifically researched and proven to be effective. These products may only be recommended by doctors and skin therapists. An important part of the treatment plan is the use of effective products for at home. These products contain active ingredients that counteract impurities, clear away dead skin cells and make the skin more permeable so that the active ingredients can do their job optimally. The products have an anti-inflammatory effect, sebum-regulating and reduce redness. We believe that in combination with our treatments you will achieve the best result.

Important to know

You may not have been in the sun or tanning bed a lot recently prior to an IPL treatment. You may also not have used self-tanning creams up to two weeks before the treatment. After the treatment, the skin may slightly swell and turn red. Small scabs may also form on the skin, but this is always temporary. We can advise post-treatment creams and medical camouflage products that have been specially developed for after cosmetic treatment. These products ensure faster recovery and protect damaged skin.
