Coagulation therapy
Unfortunately, as we get older, we increasingly have to deal with innocent, but sometimes somewhat disfiguring spots on the skin, such as steel warts (fibromas) and age warts. Steel warts are soft bumps that mainly occur in the neck, under the armpits, under the breasts and in the groin. Age warts are rough raised spots that are often brown in color. They are completely innocent. Blood blisters (senile angiomas) are also harmless skin symptoms and increase in number as we age. Although benign, they can be cosmetically disturbing. By means of coagulation we can safely and easily remove these skin imperfections without leaving any scars!
Therapy
We remove fibroids, age warts and blood blisters by means of coagulation therapy with the Zapper. This allows us to safely and effectively remove benign skin bumps. The skin therapist will first assess whether the skin defect can be treated safely. Spots are touched very precisely without leaving a scar and without damaging the surrounding skin. We then burn off the spots with the coagulation device. The tissue 'evaporates' and a scab will form. This will fall off after a few days. Coagulation is suitable for warts, age warts, fibroids, benign skin bumps, xanthelasma (cholesterol accumulations around the eyes) and other skin imperfections.
What effect can you expect?
Most spots will only need 1 treatment. A scab will form after the treatment, and some moisture may be temporarily retained around the bump. Skin therapists are trained to assess spots and blemishes. When in doubt, the skin therapists will always refer you to a dermatologist for further examination.

Important to know
The recovery time of the treatment depends on the area being treated and the intensity of the treatment. The skin may be temporarily red and slightly swollen and feel itchy. After the treatment it is important to keep the skin dry for the first 24 hours. Some scabs may form. It is important not to scratch. The scabs will fall off on their own after a few days. After the treatment, we recommend avoiding the sun and exfoliating products and to protect the skin as much as possible against the sun. If desired, we can advise you on the right post-treatment creams and medical foundation that provide extra comfort and a faster recovery of the skin.
