As we age, we may experience harmless skin blemishes. Think of fibroids (bumps), age warts and blood blisters. Fibromas are soft bumps on the skin that mainly occur in the neck, under the armpits, under the breasts and in the groin. Age warts are rough raised spots that are often brown in color. Blood blisters (senile angiomas) are also a consequence of skin aging. Fortunately, these skin imperfections are benign, but can be experienced as cosmetically disturbing. We can remove these skin imperfections safely and effortlessly without leaving any scars by means of coagulation!
Therapy
We remove fibroids, age warts and blood blisters by means of coagulation therapy with the Zapper. This allows us to safely and effectively remove benign skin bumps. The skin therapist will first assess whether the skin defect can be treated safely. Spots are touched very precisely without leaving a scar and without damaging the surrounding skin. We then burn off the spots with the coagulation device. The tissue 'evaporates' and a scab will form. The scab will fall off on its own after a few days.
Coagulation is suitable for age warts, skin warts, fibroids, benign skin bumps, xanthelasma (cholesterol accumulations around the eyes) and other skin imperfections.
What effect can you expect?
Most spots will only need 1 treatment. A scab will form after the treatment. Some moisture can also be temporarily retained around the bump. Skin therapists are trained to assess spots and blemishes. When in doubt, the skin therapists will always refer you to a dermatologist for further examination.

Important to know
The recovery time of the treatment depends on the area being treated and the intensity of the treatment. The skin may be slightly red and slightly swollen and feel itchy, but this is temporary. After the treatment it is important to keep the skin dry for the first 24 hours. Some scabs may form. It is important not to scratch. The scabs will fall off on their own after a few days. After the treatment, we recommend avoiding the sun and not using exfoliating products. It is also important to protect the skin as much as possible against the sun. If desired, we can advise you on the right post-treatment creams and medical foundation that provide extra comfort and a faster recovery of the skin.
Important to know After the treatment, the skin may be a little red and a scab will form, which will fall off after 5-7 days. Because there is no surgical intervention, the formation of a scar is prevented. Compared to nitrogen, the recovery time from coagulation is very short and no discoloration of the skin remains. On average, 1-2 treatments are needed for optimal results.
